Capstone

While I was visiting capstone I learned that I have a unique capstone in the fact I am doing a whole social media campaign and getting down to a specific demographic. I want to make sure I market myself in the right way.  Honestly going to Capstone just motivates me even more to work my butt off to graduate next semester. 

Capstone Questions

Nathan Moody

1. He chose his capstone to explore his story telling skills. 

2. He didnt change much to his capstone he had a secondary project that hd to be cut down. 

3. His response for what is your opinion of the timeline for your capstone was " What does that even mean"?

4.He wished he had more printing material for his capstone.

5. His advice to me was to be prepared for what could go wrong!!

Zac Paquette

1. He also wanted to explore his story telling skills.

3. He thought the timeline was a waste of time. 

4. He would change the Room location of his capstone if he could.

5. His advice was to experiment and push myself.

Todd Jones.

1. He chose his capstone as a documentary because its what he dose best which is film.

2. He changed the time and length of his film.

3. He liked the time line he said it keeps him organized. 

4. He would of added more people or got more people envolved with his capstone. 

5. His advice to me is to do my best. 

Timeline

So I am fixing my timeline up a little bit...

My time line for my capstone is a little different. I am working alone side Vicki and Polly for the school of Informatics facebook page i do believe. I hope to have out reach going fairly quick. I am going to have some sort of incentive to have them want to go to our Facebook page!

Peer capstone support group

Interactivity- I mean with Social media i feel like i have to engage the user to make them want to come back.  I also would fit in to the web area.

I will probably be using a lot of Indesign and Photoshop, also illustrator.

I saw someone i wanted to be set up with!! But i didnt catch her name but i saw her photo!! I will find her in class and sit next to her!!!

My Capstone Idea

My idea is to work with Michael Noir to promote and market his film. I hope to get him going on all aspects of social media along with a nice website to promote his characters and show off clips of his film along with email marketing to maybe put his film out there to AMC and who knows where else we can go. I hope to get him out on all aspects of social media from they typical Facebook, twitter, instagram, and pinterest. I believe if we hash tag his characters right we can build an audience on pinterest for him. 


Three things that inspire my ideas are the free lance work i did this summer with going out and looking through klout to find the top influencers for the topic you are trying to market. Also using PeopleBrowser once his twitter account gets establish to look at his people out reach and which audience he is getting to the most so we can make sure its a balance to men and women. Finally Hash tags on all the social networks that use them. These are crucial to any persons success  when promoting something. 

What I think a Capstone is?!

A capstone is a lot of things to a student. It is a project to show off all your skills that you have learned over the years in school. Its to lure potential employers in to hire you or recruit you. Just to show off to the school what you can create! I hope to take a lot away from my capstone experience which is experience and showing the numbers and marketing something to a large audience. I think it will take two semesters to promote Michaels project because i think it can be something bigger then what it is. I believe with the right tools of social media and email marketing and creating a website for him could be a great duo to promote and show how i can build a marketing campaign from scratch!
